PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY (PRP)
PRP Hair Restoration Treatment in Clare, Suffolk
🧬 What Is PRP for Hair Loss?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy is a non-surgical, regenerative treatment that uses your own blood to stimulate hair growth. After drawing a small sample of your blood, we isolate the platelet-rich plasma—rich in natural growth factors—and inject it directly into areas of thinning or receding hair. This stimulates hair follicles, encourages regrowth, and improves scalp health.
At Derma Clinic Clare, PRP is used to treat both male and female pattern hair loss, thinning hair, and post-partum or stress-related shedding.

What to Expect During Your Treatment
Your treatment begins with a consultation and scalp assessment. A small amount of blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to extract the platelet-rich plasma. After applying a numbing agent, the PRP is injected into targeted areas of the scalp using fine needles.
Each session takes about 60 minutes and is generally well tolerated. For best results, we recommend a course of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
When Will I See Results?
Results appear gradually. Most clients notice reduced hair shedding within the first 1–2 months. New growth and improved density typically appear between 3–6 months, with continued improvement over time.

Q: How long do results last?
A: Most clients benefit from maintenance treatments every 6–12 months after an initial course.
Q: Does it work for all types of hair loss?
A: PRP is most effective for early-stage thinning. It may not work for areas with complete baldness.
Q: Will it hurt?
A: We apply a numbing cream and a local anaesthetic before treatment. Most clients describe only mild discomfort.
Q: Can PRP be combined with other treatments?
A: Yes! It pairs well with microneedling, polynucleotides, or Dermalux LED therapy for even better results. Microneedling is an included add on to this treatment.
